I am sure that most people are more than aware of how to stream movies and TV shows for free these days, and it seems that there is a new TV links website popping up every 5 minutes. Most free movie sites operate by providing users with links to third party websites such as Putlocker and the late Megavideo, which in turn host video files that can be streamed by internet users all over the world.
Being involved in this stuff is highly illegal (breach of copyright infringement) and whilst no single internet user has ever gotten into major trouble for watching illegal streams (yet…) both link sites such as “TVshack” and video hosting websites such as “Megavideo” have been dealt with by the authorities.
The life of these sites is so uncertain (due to possible legal action and domain cezure, and popularity spikes bogging down servers) and what people don’t often realize is that TV Networks actually host free streaming videos of their shows on their official websites.
